Community Service

Service to humanity is one of the highest ideals of medicine. On a regular basis, students interested in a medical career should participate in activities which strengthen community solidarity. The Premedical Society coordinates activities at the Hemby Children's Hospital at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC and at the Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, NC. Reach Out, the student service organization, is also an important source for service opportunities. Hometown hospitals and volunteer agencies provide opportunities for service, especially during the summer.
