Clinical Ethics for one course credit. Students observe
multiple medical specialties in Charlotte area hospitals
and clinics and participate in classroom discussions
related to their observations in the field. Invited
speakers from various medical field supplement the course
with lectures. Davidson in
Kikuyu, Kenya is a seminar in biology, Biology 361: The
study of Human Disease: Western and Third World
Perspectives. Davidson
in Mwandi, a
course offered through the Sociology and Anthropology
Department provides a for credit summer experience in
medicine at the Presbyterian Medical Mission in Mwandi,
Zambia. In preparation for this study, students
participate in a spring seminar. International
internships are available through Davidson's Dean Rusk
Program.
