Whether or not the Asian Studies
Concentration is for you, Davidson offers lots of
opportunities for learning about Asia and Asian
cultures.
The Dean Rusk Program
offers a variety of activities related to
international studies, ranging from student publications to
guest speakers. The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) plans
and carries out many of these activities. Student interests
guide the selection of speakers and topics for conferences,
forums and publications. The Dean Rusk Program also provides
financial support for research, study and service projects
in Asia.
The Study Abroad Office
helps students identify study abroad programs that
meet their academic needs. The Study Abroad Office can help
you figure out how to make study in Asia fit both your
schedule and your budget.
The International
Students Association
brings together US-born and international students
for fun and learning. The ISA provides opportunities to get
to know students from Asia; you also can help promote
awareness of Asian cultures on campus through activities
such as the International Fair.
The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies
allows students with a very strong interest in Asia
to go beyond the Asian Studies Concentration to design their
own majors focusing on aspects of Asia.
