A text-centered magazine, The Egoist did not include a wide variety of artwork. Instead, the magazine typically featured several sketches by a few different artists, such as Roald Kristian, whose sketch of Wyndham Lewis from the March 1, 1916 issue, is pictured at left.

Kristian's sketches, which included drawings of Richard Aldington, an editor, and F.S. Flint, a contributor, frequently appeared in the magazine. Kristian's sketch Tarr, at right, served as an illustration to Wyndham Lewis' serial contribution of the same name to the magazine.
