Abstract

This paper links Nietzsche’s concepts of the Ubermensch to BLAST’s calling for a great INDIVIDUAL. In investigating the shared language between the Vorticist Manifesto and Nietzsche’s “Truth and Lying in a Non-Moral Sense,” it becomes evident that Ezra Pound and Wyndham Lewis adopted popular culture’s conception of the Ubermensch to build their argument for the Vorticist cause.
