Quilty, Clare: [Lolita] (b. 1911) American playwright, author of The Little Nymph, The Lady Who Loved Lightning, Dark Age, The Strange Mushroom, Fatherly Love, and others (such as the screenplay Golden Guts). Murdered by Humbert. Hobbies are fast cars, photography, and pets. Writer in Dromes ad. Also co-author of the play 'Children-Colors'. He is responsible for making good Dolores Haze's escape at Elphinstone. He takes Lo to Duk Duk Ranch, where he and his friends engage in all manners of sexual debauchery.

Quilty, Ivor: [Lolita] A fat Ramsdale dentist; uncle of Clare Quilty. Humbert visits him under the pretense of having his remaining teeth pulled and replaced by dentures in order to find out where Clare can be found.

Quine, Dolores: [Lolita] (b. 1882) Name listed below Clare Quilty in Who's Who... that Humbert associates with Dolores Haze. An actress who debuted in 1904 in "Never Talk to Strangers" and "disappeared" later in many other plays--as H.H. spoonerizes.
