| Electronic Portfolios
Electronic portfolios have made inroads both as a means of
assessing student work for a class, and for assessing and documenting
student fulfillment of a school's broader writing requirements.
The Chronicle of Higher Education article, "Creating
Online Portfolios Can Help Students See 'Big Picture,' Colleges
Say," discusses the uses of electronic portfolios and provides
links to a searchable database of portfolios and to sites that describe
the criteria for such portfolios.
The American Association of Higher Education has a portfolio
resource site. Despite that fact that the site is pushing
a book about electronic portfolios, it does link to a variety of
useful resources.
Kalamazoo College, known for its work in electronic portfolios,
has an informational page.
Donna Reiss has a portfolio
resource page that gives bibliographic references and links
to useful sites.
