Course Planning

Global literary minors should talk with the program coordinator Scott Denham as they plan their courses as some substitutions are possible.

LIT 360 Literary Theory is normally offered every spring. LIT 432 Theory and Practice of Literary Translation is normally offered every spring, and usually on Friday afternoons, so it does not conflict with other major seminars and capstone courses.

Check with the appropriate academic department for these courses, but in general:

  • ENG 391 Literary Criticism is normally offered every fall
  • ANT 341 Globalization is normally offered every other spring
  • GSS 201 Feminist and Queer Theories is offered every year
  • REL 301 Perspectives in the Study of Religion is offered every semester
  • PHI 216 Philosophy of Language is normally offered every other year
  • SOC 372 Feminist Theories is normally offered every other year
  • THE 383 Contemporary Performance is normally offered every other year
