On Thursday, May 28, Davidson College will conduct a full-scale campus emergency exercise in conjunction with Davidson Police, Davidson Fire Department, Cornelius Fire Department, Mount Mourne Fire Department and Mooresville Fire Department.
The event will occur on the main campus area, and the college asks that the general public avoid the area as much as possible from 9 a.m. until noon. The event will include the presence of emergency vehicles, equipment and personnel.
The exercise is part of regular emergency preparedness activities the college performs every year.

Ph.D., M.A. University of Georgia
B.A. Oglethorpe University
I joined the Mathematics Department at Davidson College in 2014 after completing my Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Georgia. An Atlanta native, I attended Oglethorpe University as an undergraduate, earning degrees in mathematics and music history.
My research area is number theory; in particular, I study computational problems involving quadratic forms. My thesis concerns the relationship between quadratic forms, Hilbert modular forms, and quaternion algebras. My non-thesis research includes work on quadratic forms and Geometry of Numbers. I am passionate about teaching, and my mathematical door is always open to students.
In my free time, I love to cook (and blog about it). I also spend a lot of time reading and listening to music, frequently in coffee shops.
