A great way to gain experience and learn more about legal issues is to get involved in extracurricular activities. With more than 200 student organizations on campus it's easy to find people who share your interests, or to discover new ones.
In addition to Mock Trial Association and Pre-Law Society, if you have an idea or vision for a new student organizations, the Student Activities Office will work with you to develop your idea and create a new group.
Mock Trial Association members gain hands-on knowledge about the theory and practice of law in the United States. The Davidson team operates both within in the American Mock Trial Association community and internally on the College's campus. Off campus they compete against other colleges in both regional and national events. On campus they host several speed debate competitions.
The Pre-Law Society seeks to educate Davidson students about legal issues and education, and serves as a resource for students considering careers in the legal field. It also arranges visits to law firms and law schools and invites legal professionals and educators to speak on campus.
