Background
I am a board certified clinical neuropsychologist currently in private practice in Mooresville, N.C. My specialty is pediatric neuropsychology, and I evaluate children, adolescents, and young adults who have suffered from neurodevelopmental or acquired brain injuries. My research interests include neurodevelopmental disabilities, pediatric chronic kidney disease, and the impact of alcohol and marijuana use on cognition and behavior.
I teach courses in human neuropsychology, a specialized branch of psychology focusing on the relationship between brain function (and dysfunction) and behavior. These courses provide a cross-section of psychology and neuroscience, helping students understand the neuropsychological impact of common organic conditions such as traumatic brain injury, cancer, stroke, and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease.
I am a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, and the American Psychological Association. In addition to teaching courses in neuropsychology, I offer mentorship opportunities for psychology majors interested in attending graduate school in psychology.
