The First Congress convened on Sept. 5, 1774
to Oct. 26, 1774; and the Second Congress from May 10, 1775 to March 2, 1789.
The "Journals"
are the records of the proceedings of Congress kept by the Secretary, Charles
Thompson.
The day to day entries were not complete and subject to revisions before
Congress, which are activities not entered in the Journals and from other
sources that will aid in recomposing the proceedings of this congress.
