These collections were published by different departments from Davidson College during the 19th century. The college catalogs are not dissimilar from the catalogs of today, except that they also list the current students and recent alumni. The Davidson Monthly is the earliest known student publication that initially lasted for two years (1870-1872). Published in 1891 by the Davidson College Alumni Association, the Semi-Centenial Catalog is organized into sections with lists of trustees, faculty, students and honorary degree recipients, summary information on students, and extracts from the 1843-44 and 1887-87 college catalogues.
