Office Information
The Davidson College Archives is a place where the past and the present meet. In the Archives, researchers will find records of historical value and significance. These records relate to the history of the College, the town of Davidson, and the surrounding geographical areas. The holdings in the Davidson College Archives provide a sense of Davidson's past and of its foundations for the future.

The Archives exists primarily for use by the students, faculty and staff of Davidson College, although outside researchers are welcome as well. As the official repository for the records of Davidson College, the Archives collects, preserves, maintains, and makes available college records of administrative, legal, fiscal or historical value. The Archives also collects books, articles, brochures and pamphlets written by or about former students and faculty of Davidson College for use in its Davidsoniana Collection.

In the following pages, you will find information on the Manuscript Collections, the Archives Collections, and the Photograph Collection of the Davidson College Archives. Although these three collections share common interests and uphold the goal of preserving historically valuable materials, each collection contains its own unique information. In addition, information has been provided on the history of the college and on special exhibits produced by the staff of the Davidson College Archives.
