Off-Campus Access to Electronic Resources 14 May 2004

The Library is pleased to announce off-campus access to more electronic resources!

Whether you are working from home, studying abroad, or traveling to a conference, you can now access most of the Library's databases and electronic resources quickly, easily, and securely. All you need is an internet connection, Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher, and your Davidson username and password.

There are no longer special passwords that you need to request and remember. Instead, when you attempt to access an electronic resource from off campus, you'll be prompted to log in using your Davidson network username and password. You can then begin searching and even print out any relevant citations or texts on your own printer.

The databases that are accessible from off campus are indicated on our Indexes & Databases pages; look for the yellow-highlighted notes beneath the database titles.

Please note that due to licensing restrictions, off-campus access to electronic resources is only available to currently-enrolled Davidson students and currently-employed faculty and staff.

We are delighted to be able to offer you improved access to our resources. If you have any questions about off-campus access, please contact the Reference Desk (704.894.CHAL or 704.894.2425).
