- Do a subject search for "ethnology" and add the name of a country or geographic area.
- Do a subject search for "ethnic groups" and browse for appropriate subject headings.
- Do a subject search for "ethnicity" and browse for appropriate subject headings.
- Do a subject keywords search for "social life and customs" or "social conditions" and add the name of a social group or place (example: women united states social conditions).
To locate works about a person, do a subject search for the person's name (last name first).
To locate bibliographies on a person or topic, do a keyword search and add the following: su bibliography.
