How to Find Film Reviews
|
General Tips
Film reviews appear in a variety of sources, including popular magazines, newspapers, and film-related journals; they also appear on Web sites.
To find a review of a particular film, first note the film's original premiere and release dates and any re-release dates. Most films are reviewed soon after their release, and you will need to select an index, database, or other resource
that covers the time period in which the film was released. For each of the resources listed below, I have included dates of coverage.
If you are unsure of a film's release date(s), consult one of the following sources or ask a librarian for help.
To locate criticism and analysis of a film, consult one of the sources listed on the Indexes & Databases page for Film.
