(1982 to present) Indexes articles from over 1,200 journals as well as selected books, conference proceedings, and essays in 17 allied health disciplines including nursing. Also contains full-text articles from 320 journals.
Medline (PubMed) Off-Campus access available; no password required.	(1950 to present) Includes citations and abstracts to articles in over 5,200 biomedical, life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering journals. This version of Medline is from the National Library of Medicine, which also provides links to some full-text articles as well as access to other health-related databases. The library also has Medline through Web of Knowledge (1950 to present).

(c. 1900 to present) A multidisciplinary resource that provides citations to articles in over 10,000 journals in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. AccessScience Off-Campus access available through proxy server to current Davidson College students, faculty, and staff.	Contains the full text of the most recent edition of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology, research updates from the McGraw-Hill Yearbooks of Science & Technology, and the McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms as well as biographies of scientists and science and technology news.
Clinical Pharmacology Off-Campus access available through proxy server to current Davidson College students, faculty, and staff.	Contains current information about prescription drugs, herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products, and new and investigational drugs. The "Drug Monograph" entries contain pharmaceutical information and often include images of the drugs; the "Patient Education" entries provide information about drug interactions and side-effects. Search the database using either the generic or the brand name of the drug.

Contains over 38,000 e-books published by over 220 academic, trade, and professional publishers; covers all subject areas. Also includes tools that allow you to create your own virtual bookshelf, bookmark pages, and add and save notes and highlights. Note: To read ebrary books, you need the ebrary Reader. Health Source Off-Campus access available through proxy server to current Davidson College students, faculty, and staff.	(1984 to present) Provides indexing, abstracting, and some full text from over 255 periodicals covering nutrition, exercise, medical self-care, drugs and alcohol, and much more. It also provides full text for over 1,065 pamphlets and 23 books. Full text coverage begins in January 1990.
Medlineplus Off-Campus access available; no password required.	Provides general and consumer information on diseases and health-related topics. Also provides links to medical dictionaries and encyclopedia, and lists of hospitals, physicians, organizations and Web sites.
PsycARTICLES Off-Campus access available through proxy server to current Davidson College students, faculty, and staff.	(1894 to present) Contains the full text of 59 peer-reviewed journals published by the American Psychological Association (APA), Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe Publishing Group. Most APA journals are available from volume 1, issue 1.

Public Library of Science (PLoS) Off-Campus access available; no password required.	A collection of open access, peer-reviewed biology and medical journals. Includes PLoS Biology, PLoS Clinical Trials, PLoS Computational Biology, PLoS Genetics, PLoS Medicine, and PLoS Pathogens. PLoS is a non-profit organization founded in 2000 with the goal of making scientific and medical literature freely accessible. The Davidson College Library is a Sponsor of the PLoS.
