Diccionario de la Lengua Española Off-Campus access available; no password required.	Contains the full text of the 22nd edition of the Diccionario de la Lengua Española (Real Academia Española, 2001). Over 200,000 definitions; also contains etymologies. The Library has a print version of this dictionary in Reference at call number R 463 A16d22.

Produced by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress. HAPI cites articles published in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Hispanic American Newspapers, 1808-1980 Off-Campus access available through proxy server to current Davidson College students, faculty, and staff.	(1808-1980) Contains digital facsimiles of several hundred Spanish-language newspapers printed in the U.S.; many of these newspapers were published bilingually in Spanish and English. The full text, including all articles, advertisements, and other contents, is keyword-searchable. This collection is based on the “Recovering the U.S. Hispanic Literary Heritage Project” directed by Professor Nicolás Kanellos at the University of Houston. It is a subset of America's Historical Newspapers and part of the Archive of Americana.

Latin American Newspapers Off-Campus access available through proxy server to current Davidson College students, faculty, and staff.	(1805-1920) Contains digital facsimiles of nineteenth and early twentieth-century Latin American newspapers; the full text of these newspapers, including all articles, advertisements, and other contents, is keyword-searchable. When complete, this database will contain over 35 newspapers. The library was able to acquire the content in this database thanks to a generous gift from Mrs. Laura Landoe, a Davidson parent; we thank her for her support.
Latin American Periodicals Tables of Contents (LAPTOC) Off-Campus access available; no password required.	(1940 to present) Provides table of contents information for over 800 journals published in Latin America. The journals are primarily in the humanities and social sciences, and many are not indexed elsewhere. The articles listed are in Spanish or Portuguese. LAPTOC is part of the Association of Research Libraries Latin Americanist Research Resource Project.
