Contains the fully-searchable text of the third edition of Datapedia of the United States: American History in Numbers, edited by George Kurian (Lanham, MD: Bernan, 2004). Provides historical statistics from 1789 to 2003 as well as select data projections through 2050.

Europa World Year Book
Off-Campus access available through proxy server to current Davidson College students, faculty, and staff.
Contains the fully-searchable text of the current edition of the Europa World Year Book, which provides information about over 250 countries and territories and over 1650 international organizations. Includes basic statistical data (which can be used for country-to-country comparisons) as well as information about economic affairs, education, defense, government, and recent history. Also includes directories.

(1945 to present) The online version of the International Monetary Fund's International Financial Statistics. Includes statistics on all aspects of international and domestic finance for more than 200 countries; contains over 34,000 annual, quarterly, and monthly time series of financial and economic data. Topics covered include exchange rates, IMF position, international liquidity, money and banking accounts, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, national accounts, and population.

Roper Center for Public Opinion Research

  • iPOLL, a database of 500,000 questions and answers from surveys conducted by over 150 commercial and media survey organizations, including the Gallup Organization, Harris Interactive, Pew Research Associates, and more.
  • RoperExpress, a collection of data sets for bivariate and multivariate analyses

Statistical Abstract of the United States
Off-Campus access available; no password required.
(Volumes for the years 1995 to present) Provides the full text of this important title, which includes economic and social statistics on the United States. The Statistical Abstracts of the United States is particularly useful as a guide to statistical data generated and published by U.S. Government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Use the index to locate relevant data in each volume.
