The Alumni Association Board of Directors focuses its work primarily on three initiatives: Alumni of Color Engagement (ACE), Davidson Career Advisor Network (DCAN+), and Hometown Connections.
The Alumni Association Board of Directors began the Alumni of Color Engagement (ACE) initiative in 2008. ACE addresses and develops new channels and opportunities for connection between our alumni of color and the college to strengthen commitments and contributions to the life and success of the college.
DCAN is an acronym for the Davidson Career Advisor Network. The Center for Career Development counsels and mentors Davidson students interested in exploring their career options. The Alumni Association Board of Directors (AAB) and by extension all alumni add great value to this effort. Through DCAN+, the AAB will assist Davidson students and alumni in starting, changing, or restarting their careers by sharing industry contacts, connections, and life experiences and by encouraging our fellow alumni to do the same. Davidson has nearly 70 alumni chapters throughout the United States holding more than 100 events annually. The goal of Hometown Connections is to advise, improve and enhance the function of alumni chapters.
