The fourth annual Davidson Volunteer Week is April 14-22, 2018. Alumni, families and friends across the country will participate in community and volunteer engagement during that week, and we hope you will join them!
Whether it is volunteering time and expertise to address hunger, homelessness, children's literacy, political issues impacting local communities or environmental sustainability and stewardship, Davidson alumni, families and friends remain committed to making the world better in meaningful ways.
Davidson Volunteer Week is the flagship initiative of DavidsonServes for Life, the Davidson alumni and families civic engagement initiative. The mission of DavidsonServes for Life is to commit the Davidson family to sustained civic engagement efforts. The Center for Civic Engagement also hosts its student service week at the same time, which aligns with National Volunteer Week.
More than 600 alumni, family and friends participated in service projects last year and our team of event coordinators is already hard at work planning for Volunteer Week 2018. Want to organize your own project or find a volunteer opportunity near you? Reach out to your local service chair.
Don't see your city listed? Email email@example.com for more information on how to get involved.
We encourage everyone who participates in Davidson Volunteer Week by volunteering in their community to track their hours. Whether you worked on your own project or joined one of the organized chapter events, we want to know about it! Use this form to log your hours and help us celebrate all the great community engagement work done by Davidson alumni, families and friends during Davidson Volunteer Week.
As you participate in a Davidson project or serve your community in another capacity, tag your photos #DavidsonServesforLife and #DavidsonVolunteerWeek on social media and/or send them to firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll be watching the hashtag all week and will share many photos. Don't forget to wear your Davidson shirt or hat!
