McMillen Lecture in Gender & Sexuality Studies

The Gender & Sexuality Studies Program will be hosting the first annual McMillen Lecture in Gender & Sexuality Studies, a public lecture by Carolyn Eichner from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. The title of her talk is "The Power and Politics of Names: Feminist Opposition to the Patronym in 19th-Century France." The lecture will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 28 in Tyler-Tallman Hall. Prof. Eichner is associate professor of History and Women's Studies at UWM, and Director of Graduate Studies for the Women's Studies Program at UWM. No tickets are required and the event is free.
