Challenge the Policy: Guns, Rights, and Rhetoric -- Part 1

Gun ownership in the United States has become linked to issues of personal freedom and protection; leisure and sport activities like hunting; and Second Amendment rights. Meanwhile, Americans now live in an environment shaped by tens of thousands of gun deaths annually as well as frequent and horrific mass shootings. How can we get beyond polarizing rhetoric to design intelligent policies that both safeguard legitimate rights and protect innocent lives?
