Developed at the turn of the twentieth century, Modern Dance allows both dancers and non-dancers to learn body movements for creative self-expression. Based in the studio, this course provides an introduction to the basic principles and technical components involved in performing the techniques of Modern Dance. Course work will include performance practice, readings, and written work.
Students entering 2012 and after: satisfies the Visual and Performing Art distribution requirement.
