Literature & the Environment

An introduction to environmental literature covering poetry, short fiction, novels, and non-fiction prose. Topics include nature and wilderness, justice, place, food, and activism, with particular attention to literary responses to significant environmental issues.

Students entering 2012 and after: satisfies the Literary Studies, Creative Writing, and Rhetoric distribution requirement.
Satisfies depth or breadth course requirement in Humanities Track of the Environmental Studies major or interdisciplinary minor.
