People have long tried to get their own way by playing roles, persuading, cajoling, manipulating, bargaining, teasing, pretending. We follow these themes in great authors: Racine, Camus, Balzac, Pr\00E9vert, Giraudoux, Anouilh, Follain, Marivaux. Plays, fiction, poetry.
Students entering before 2012: satisfies Literature distribution requirement.


Prerequisites:

French 201 or above. (Not offered 2014-15.)
