The Center for Civic Engagement supports creative and innovation thinking for positive social change through workshops and even a funding competition.
The center has partnered with Social Venture Partners (SVP) to provide student ambassadors for their annual SEED20 competition. The competition is designed to discover, spotlight and fund the region's great ideas for building social value.
One student ambassador is assigned to each of the twenty non-profits selected for the competition. Students attend meetings with the group, research needs and solutions in order to strengthen the pitch, develop materials and provide guidance on presentations.
Do you have an idea for a program or enterprise with a social mission at its core? The Center for Civic Engagement would like to help fund your endeavor! In the spring semester students (individuals or teams) will register the idea and will then pitch it in an event. Learn more about the competition and available monetary awards for winning entries.
If you are building on an idea or if you are just interested in innovation, attend one of the events sponsored by the center throughout the year.
