Looking for a diary to use a primary source?

The library has many diaries in its collections, and more are available through interlibrary loan. The following tools, bibliographies, and resources will help you find them. If you have any questions, though, please ask a librarian.

      To locate diaries in our collection, do a keyword search and add the word "diaries."

      This collection includes handwritten diaries from the colonial period through the beginning of the twentieth century. It is in three parts: New England Women (8 diaries), Southern Women (32 diaries), and Western Women (600 diaries).
