    (1971 to present) Indexes articles, essays in edited collections, conference proceedings, and other materials on all subjects related to East, Southeast, and South Asia. Also lists books published between 1971 and 1992. International in scope; most citations are to works written in Western languages.

  • Handbook of Latin American Studies (HLAS) Online
    (1935 to present) Indexes journal articles, books, book chapters, and conference papers covering topics related to Latin America.
  • HAPI (Hispanic American Periodicals Index) Online
    (1970 to present) Indexes journal articles on the politics, culture, history, and literature of the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, and the United States-Mexico border. Also covers works related to Hispanics in the United States.
  • Index Islamicus
    (1906 to present) Indexes articles from over 3,000 journals as well as books, conference proceedings, and book reviews. Covers a wide variety of subjects and topics related to Islam, the Middle East, and the Muslim world including history, political science, art, economics, law, literature, philosophy, and religion.
  • JSTOR
    A collection of the back issues of over 1,200 electronic journals in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Note: JSTOR does not usually contain articles from the most recent 3-5 years.

    (1915 to present) Indexes journal articles, books, government documents, and conference papers in the fields of economics, political science, and public affairs.
  • Project Muse
    A collection of over 400 electronic journals in the humanities and social sciences.
  • Web of Knowledge
    (c. 1900 to present) A multidisciplinary resource that provides citations to articles in thousands of journals in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities.
  • WorldCat Classic
    Lists books, videos, periodicals, and other materials held by libraries around the world. You can submit an interlibrary loan request to borrow books that aren't available at Davidson.
    • Identify relevant Library of Congress Subject Headings in the Library Catalog first; you can then do a subject search in WorldCat to find additional items with these subject headings.
