        The library has some of the print volumes of the decennials (1790 to present) on the ground (basement) floor; they are on the shelves immediately to your right as you exit the main stairwell. The population schedules for some southern states are available on microfilm (1870-1880, 1900-1920; microfilm cabinet 39).
    • U.S. Congressional Serial Set
      (1817-1994, but see note below) Contains the fully-searchable text of the Serial Set, a rich collection of primary source materials on all aspects of U.S. political, military, cultural, economic, ethnic, and social history. Includes U.S. Senate and House of Representatives reports, documents, and journals. This collection is part of the Archive of Americana.
      Note: this digital collection is not yet complete; as of September 2010, it contains documents from 1817-1989 (101st Congress, 1st session).       (c. 1639-1998) A collection of digital facsimiles of American books, broadsides, pamphlets, newspapers, and government documents, many of which are described above.
    • AP Images
      (1826 to present [images]; 1997 to present [text]) A collection of image, graphics, and text databases from the Associated Press (AP). Over 700,000 AP photographs dating from 1826 to the present are available. The Graphics Database contains diagrams, maps, and charts dating from 1999. The text database contains the full text of AP reports from 1997 to the present.
      Note: Only one person can search this database at any one time.
      Photographs and graphics from the Archive cannot be sold, syndicated, loaned or used for advertising or for trade without the written consent of AP. In addition, users cannot republish any of the photographs on a Web page.
