- Methodist Church
In 1843, the Methodist Episcopal Church split into the (Northern) Methodist Episcopal Church and the Methodist Episcopal Church, South; each was a separate ecclesiastical body, with its own missionary boards. The churches remained separate until 1939, when they merged with the Methodist Protestant Church to form the Methodist Church.

The Hakluyt Society, founded in 1846, publishes narratives of voyages, travels, and expeditions as well as other early works on geography, navigation, and exploration. Works originally written in other languages are translated into English. To date, more than 270 titles have been published in three series.

Includes material on women in Mexico (1938-1992) as well as pamphlets dating from the Mexican Revolution, the speeches of Manuel Avila Camacho, pamphlets on the 1985 earthquake in Mexico, political and labor pamphlets (1922-1945), pamphlets on education in Mexico (1916-1941), pamphlets on Mexican political parties, elections, and electoral reform (c. 1980-1994), the periodicals El Zaguan (c. 1970-1977), El Faro (1885-1988) and Mundo Cristiano (1919-1926), a collection of Mexican constitutions, and more. The collection contains both Spanish-language and English-language materials.
