Skyline Augmented Fillings
7:30--8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 24
Chambers 3068
A skyline is a diagram of a weak composition, or an ordered list of non-negative integers .
The diagram is made of boxes arranged in columns and looks like a city skyline.
When these boxes are filled with numbers according to certain rules,
the diagram becomes a skyline augmented filling.
We will define skyline augmented fillings as well as standard Young tableaux,
which are analogues of skyline augmented fillings,
and look at some examples of these diagrams.
Next we will look at uses for skyline augmented fillings and standard Young tableaux.
Finally, we will see what families of skylines admit skyline augmented fillings, and which do not.
