This Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., we invite you to a drop-in conversation session with ITS staff in the Language Resource Center, Chambers south basement. We have planned a few topics as conversation starters and they include:
- CrashPlan – a secure, cloud-based, user-friendly backup solution that eliminates the need for external backup drives. If you have a laptop and CrashPlan is not currently installed, bring it to the session for installation. If you have a desktop computer and CrashPlan is not currently installed, stop by to schedule an office visit.
- Studio M – if you were unable to attend the opening in late October, this is a good opportunity to see the space and explore how you can make use of Makerspace resources in your courses and/or research.
- Mobile Print – we plan to introduce printing from mobile devices to PawPrint-enabled campus printers early in 2014. Swing by to learn more.
- Office 2013 – we plan to make Office 2013 for Windows available for download starting in January 2014. Stop by to learn more.
We look forward to chatting with you about these and other technology topics. As always, refreshments will be available, as will giveaways and a drawing for 50 free CrashPlan accounts for your home use.
