Miki Kato-Starr, wife of Assistant Professor of Art Tyler Starr, will be among 18 artists exhibiting work at the Van Every / Smith Galleries in the Davidson College Belk Visual Arts Center. Starr and Kato-Starr resided in Tokyo at the time of the 2011 earthquake and subsequent nuclear plant disaster. The couple moved with their young son to the United States in the wake of the disaster. The exhibit also features work by Chinese dissident Ai Weiwei and will open with an evening reception Jan. 23.
