NPR: U.S. Soldier Honored Posthumously for Protecting Jewish POWs in 1945

Roddie EdmondsCamila Domonoske '12 recently wrote a news feature story for the National Public Radio website about a posthumous "Righteous Among the Nations" award presented in honor of a U.S. soldier from Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust Memorial Center.

"In January 1945, in a German POW camp, a U.S. soldier named Roddie Edmonds defied the threat of death to protect the Jewish troops under his command," the story begins. "Seventy years later, he's being recognized for his valor."
