The Peer Academic Coaching (PAC) program is designed to match students who possess exceptional academic skills, such as time management, organization, note taking, studying, reading, and test taking, with students who experience challenges or wish to enhance their skills in those areas. The peers meet weekly to discuss academic strategies, create action plans, assess progress and identify needed support and resources.
If you are interested in becoming a Peer Academic Coach, contact Alysen Beaty at email@example.com. To qualify, you must be a sophomore or above in good academic standing and must provide a letter of recommendation from a Davidson faculty member as well as a copy of your unofficial transcript.
If you are interested in being matched with a Peer Academic Coach, you must complete an intake form (DOC).
If you are a faculty or staff member and would like to refer a student to the program, please direct the student to the intake form. We will use the intake form information to match the student with an appropriate coach. Once paired, the students will meet for at least one hour per week to develop effective academic strategies.
