This workshop directed by Clark G. Ross (former Chief Reader for AP Economics) of Davidson College will present significant topics in microeconomics and macroeconomics.
Special attention will be given to international issues, as well as other content developments over the last several years. There will be a combination of lecture, problem solving, use of past tests, and sharing of teaching practices.
The micro section will include the basics of supply and demand, the theory of the competitive firm, issues in market structure, the labor market, and economic efficiency. The macro section will include the classical and Keynesian models, use of aggregate demand and aggregate supply, stabilization policy, and growth policy.
There will be a concluding section on international issues that will address both trade and currency markets.
