Jonas Strecker received a B.A. in English and German Language and Literature from the University of Bamberg, Germany and an M.A. in German and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from West Virginia University. He joined Middle Georgia State College in Macon, Ga. in 2003 and has taught German, English, First-Year Experience, and Humanities courses. He also has taught German at Bethany College (Bethany, W.V.), Wesleyan College, and Mercer University (both located in Macon, Ga.). His research and teaching interests include the studies of comparative literature, film, culture, and diversity.
Jonas has been a reader, table leader, and question leader for the national German Advanced Placement program since 2008 and a certified workshop consultant since 2013.
