Established in honor of John '74 and Maureen Falconi and members of the Falconi family, the Falconi Family Internship Grant supports Davidson students pursuing summer internships in the business, finance, healthcare administration, or technology industries. Administered by the Center for Career Development, the grant supports a minimum of four students with grants up to $5,000.
You and your chosen internship must meet the same requirements listed for the Career Development Summer Internship Grant. Summer research experiences do not qualify. Davidson athletes will be given special consideration, but participation in athletics is not an eligibility requirement.
To apply for a Falconi Family Internship Grant, first identify and apply for an internship that meets the requirements referenced above. The Center for Career Development can help guide you through an internship search. Once you are offered the internship or are in the interview process, you may apply for the grant. The application process includes submitting a common application, your résumé, a prospective budget, and a description of the internship. Prior to submitting your application, you may wish to have a career adviser review your application materials during walk-in hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.) to make sure that they are in the best possible shape.
Two information sessions will be offered during Common Hour (11:05 a.m.-12:05 p.m.).
Application deadlines and award notifications/distributions are scheduled as follows.
If selected for a grant, recipients agree to:
Acceptance of a Falconi Family Internship Grant is, in turn, acceptance of the Davidson Honor Code. If any infractions are suspected, the student risks forfeiture of part or all of the award, and Honor Code charges.
