'Cats Career Summit

Are you a second- or third-year student interested in learning more about internship and research opportunities? Do you want to know what potential employers are looking for, and how to make yourself stand out?

Register online before Jan. 25 at 11:59 p.m., for the 'Cats Career Summit (space is limited to 160 attendees).

Sponsored by the Center for Career Development, the summit is a career exploration initiative.  You will choose one of two tracks to follow for the day based on where you are in your career development process: Career exploration, or eesearch and internship search readiness. As a participant you will learn about yourself, how to explore different career paths, and how to create an effective research and internship search strategy.

Summit Structure

All students will participate in the following:

  • Opening keynote session
  • Closing employer panel conversation

During registration, you will select a track to follow throughout the summit:

Track One: Career Exploration

  • Self-assessment/exploration
  • Majors and careers
  • Networking

Track Two: Research and Internship Search Readiness

  • Research and internship search strategies
  • Professional branding
  • Interviewing

Registration, Selection Process, & Cost

If you are a second- or third-year student and would like to register for the 'Cats Career Summit, follow these steps:

  1. Access the online registration form.
  2. Complete the registration form by Jan. 25 at 11:59 p.m., including acknowledgement of the no-show/late cancellation fee.
  3. Students selected to participate will be notified via email by January 26, 2016.

There is no charge to register or attend the 'Cats Career Summit. Please note: if you register to attend this event and are a no-show or cancel registration less than 72 hours before the event, you will be charged $25 via your student account.

Program information will be updated on the website closer to the summit. A detailed itinerary will be provided at check-in on February 7, 2016. Participants will complete an experience survey and reflection following the summit.

Business casual or business attire is suggested.
