Mt. Pilgrim Church Mt. Pilgrim Church was organized February 22, 1880 and received into the Synod the same year. In 1924 the congregation began to gather funds for a new church building but a few years later most of the money that had been received was lost in a bank failure unfortunately. Eight years later the members made a second and successful attempt. They gave money, lumber, labor and gathered stones from their fields and fashioned them into a building of beauty with Gothic design and since has been in continuous use.
