Saluda River
The construction of Lake Murray on the Saluda River in the late 1920's caused the re-location of churches in the area. The lake became a boundary which separated the two sides of the Saluda River -- with one road at the Saluda Dam and a second road which crossed the lake into the Fork leading to Prosperity, South Carolina. The waters of the lake gave Macedonia Church the opportunity to provide lake-side services.
