Within a year a most interesting development took place in the life of this congregation in December of 1892. The suggestion was made that the congregation leave the Tennessee Synod and become a part of the South Carolina Synod. This move was debated and in 1895 the South Carolina Synod received the congregation.
From the very beginning this congregation has been strong in leadership and faithfulness and over seven members have entered into full time service of the church.
