Here is a narrative of the life of Walton Harlowe Greever and his contributions to American Lutheranism. The sources of this information have come from the family, church histories, church periodicals, books and his personal papers.

Because he was engaged in many areas of service at the same time, a time-line as been included for use when dates seem to conflict.

Different areas of his life have been included -- some which will be interesting and inspiring. Some the of stories or incidents which are included may appear to be irrelevant or unnecessary. But they have been included to give an insight into the man and the times in which he lived.

It has not been easy to know what to include and what to omit. Some of this information may not have been seen outside the family members. People who spent time with Dr. Greever came to know that he was interested in them and interested in many areas of life.

This is an attempt to record a glimpse of one faithful servant of the church and some of the contributions he has made.
