Above all, I am concerned with the conservation and management of nongame vertebrate populations. I am interested in understanding the effects of anthropogenic activities on vertebrate populations, particularly reptiles and amphibians. By studying the impacts caused by changes in land-use and the introduction of invasive species, we can more effectively manage these populations. Consequently, I hope to take an active role in both habitat restoration and invasive species control.

I am also interested in the environmental physiology of reptiles and amphibians living in developed areas. Understanding the physiological requirements of herp species persisting in these compromised environments can allow us to make more educated decisions regarding their management in urban and suburban environs. Similarly, I am interested in the environmental physiology of invasive vertebrates in order gain better insight into their control.
