Annual Financial Reports Policy


Davidson College prepares its annual financial report in printed and digital formats. Paper copies are available on a limited basis.


This policy seeks to identify where the college's annual financial report may be obtained as well as identify who may receive an electronic copy.


The college shall make available its annual financial report. The college has a limited number of printed copies that may be released according to the schedule below.

All other requests for paper copies of the college's annual financial report must be approved by the Controller/Director of Business Services or the Vice President for Finance and Administration.

Administration of Policy

The Controller/Director of Business Services shall oversee this policy and review it at least once every two years. Changes to this policy shall be made in accordance with the college's Policy on Policies.

The following entities may receive a paper copy of the college's annual financial report upon request:

  1. College Relations for reporting to and requesting grants from Foundations, Corporations, and other major donors
  2. Chief Investment Officer
  3. Grants and Contracts Office for use in grant applications
  4. Planning and Institutional Research Office for use in data analysis and responding to surveys
  5. President and members of the Principal Executive Staff (PES), including the Vice President for Finance and Administration
  6. College faculty and staff
  7. Students, parents/guardians and college alumni
  8. Banks, particularly Bank of America; Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company; & State Street Bank and Trust, as part of these ongoing relationships
  9. Bond agencies, including the Trustees of the colleges outstanding bonds
  10. Cambridge Associates for their annual data analysis
  11. The Duke Endowment
  12. Peer institutions
