The Davidson College Store's mission is to support the educational experience by providing all course materials and related resources necessary for students, faculty and staff in a financially responsible manner. Additionally, the College Store provides a wide variety of high-quality college insignia merchandise for all interested college customers that promotes the college name and image beyond the confines of campus. While providing these products, the College Store strives to give the best possible service to all customers. In some instances, a customer may seek to return an item he or she purchased.
This policy authorizes the College Store to accept an item in exchange for a refund. It informs customers of the manner in which this transaction may occur.
Most items may be returned to the College Store (Union and ‘Cats on Main locations) for a refund within ten days from the date of purchase and must be accompanied by a cash register sales receipt. All items must be in absolutely new and saleable condition. Product exchanges are considered the same as a refund. Refunds shall be made as tendered (cash for cash or check purchase, credit for credit or CatCard purchase).
The College Store Manager shall oversee this policy and review it at least once every two years. Changes to this policy shall be made in accordance with the college's Policy on Policies. Customer appeal of any decision with regard to this policy may be made to the College Store Manager.
