Davidson College's central mission is to educate young men and women for lives of leadership and service. All uses of college facilities should support this mission.
This policy informs the students, employees, and the community of the college's policy regarding facility use and non-discrimination.
A Non-College Group's use of any Davidson College Facility shall comport at all times with the Davidson College Non-Discrimination and Non-Harassment Policies.
"Non-College Groups" are individuals and groups whose proposed use of facilities is unrelated to any official college business.
The Director of Auxiliary Services shall oversee this policy and review it at least once every two years. Changes to this policy shall be made in accordance with the college's Policy on Policies.
The facility use agreement signed by the Non-College Group and the college shall contain the following clause:
Non-Discrimination Policy: Licensee expressly agrees that (a) participation in its organization, and participation in Licensee's Use of the Premises under this Agreement, is and shall be open to any individual regardless of race, color, sexual orientation, religion, creed, nationality, ancestry, disability, or gender (the "Non-Discrimination Policy"); or (b) Licensee has informed the College, in writing prior to the execution of this Agreement, that Licensee is or will be knowingly in violation of the Nondiscrimination Policy. The college hereby reserves the right immediately to terminate this Agreement upon discovery of Licensee's violation of the Non-Discrimination Policy; or, to waive the Non-Discrimination Policy in the college's sole discretion when appropriate and otherwise permitted by law.
