The Physical Plant Office of Property Management administers assignment, rental rates, leases, maintenance, and repair of rental housing. The college establishes rents of college-owned houses based on an appraised value. The schedule of rental rates is maintained in the Physical Plant Housing Office.
The college owns 42 locations containing 54 rental units, most are single family, but include 4 duplex and 2 triplex units. These units are located on streets adjacent to or within a mile surrounding the campus.
This policy seeks to inform tenants of the policies and procedures governing use of Davidson College rental properties.
Tenants shall comply with all rental policies and procedures found in the Rental Information and Policies packet.
Failure to abide by these policies and procedures may result in a forfeited security deposit, additional fees, and/or eviction.
The director of property management shall oversee this policy and review it at least once every two years. Changes to this policy shall be made in accordance with the college's Policy on Policies.
